Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you hire equipment from us, buy equipment from us, or use this website. Please read them before placing an order — by hiring or buying from Keep Fit Hire you agree to them.
Last updated 29 July 2026.
1. Who these terms are with
This website and the hire and sales business described on it are operated by Health and Fitness Hire Pty Ltd ABN 67 102 778 147, trading as Keep Fit Hire, of 2/26 Octal Street, Yatala QLD 4207. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” means Keep Fit Hire, and “you” means the person or business hiring or buying equipment.
You can contact us on 1300 800 776 or at sales@keepfithire.com.
2. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are entitled to do so, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the goods or services, or paying the cost of having them resupplied. Where a failure is major, you have the rights set out in the Australian Consumer Law.
If anything in these terms conflicts with that law, the law applies and that part of these terms does not.
3. Hire terms
Equipment is hired for a fixed term. Most machines are available on 1, 3 or 6 month terms, and the terms and prices available for a particular machine are shown on that machine’s page.
The hire period starts on the day the equipment is delivered and ends on the last day of the agreed term. If you want to continue past that date, contact us before the term ends so we can extend the hire.
4. Payment
Payment for a hire is made at the time of delivery. You can pay the driver by cash, card or Afterpay. There is nothing to pay when you place your order.
We do not take a bond or security deposit for standard hires.
Rent to own arrangements are paid to a third party financier under a separate agreement — see the rent to own section below.
5. Ownership of hired equipment
Hired equipment remains our property at all times. You do not own it, and you must not sell it, lend it, sub-hire it, modify it, or move it to a different address without telling us first.
You must not allow any security interest, lien or other encumbrance to be created over hired equipment.
6. Using and caring for the equipment
Equipment must be used indoors, in a dry, dust free environment, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. It must not be kept or used in a carport, garage, patio, or anywhere else it can be exposed to moisture or dust.
You are responsible for making sure the equipment is used safely and by people capable of using it safely. If you are unsure whether exercise is suitable for you, seek advice from a health professional before using the equipment.
Equipment must be returned clean. If it is not, a cleaning fee of $50.00 may be charged.
7. Damage, loss and theft
While the equipment is in your possession you are responsible for keeping it safe. If hired equipment is damaged, lost or stolen, you are responsible for the cost of repairing it, or for its replacement value if it cannot reasonably be repaired.
This does not apply to fair wear and tear from normal use, or to mechanical failure that is not your fault — those are covered by us under the next section.
Please tell us as soon as possible if equipment is damaged, lost or stolen.
8. Breakdowns and faults
If equipment breaks down during the hire period through no fault of yours, we will either repair or replace the machine, and we will add any resulting down time back onto your hire term at no charge.
Most of our hire equipment is brand new or less than six months old.
9. Ending a hire early
The agreed hire term is payable in full. If you return equipment before the end of the term, the hire fees already paid are not refunded and the balance of the term remains payable.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where equipment is faulty or not fit for purpose.
10. Delivery and setup
Delivery and setup is $50 to most areas of Brisbane, Logan, the Gold Coast and Moreton Bay, and $80 to the Redcliffe peninsula and the Caboolture corridor, between 9.00am and 4.00pm. This applies to three and six month hires, rent to own arrangements and outright purchases. On a hire, that single charge also covers collection at the end of the term. You may instead collect the equipment from our Yatala warehouse at no charge, by arrangement.
Deliveries outside those hours may incur an after-hours surcharge of $50.00 in addition to the delivery charge, and deliveries to areas not listed on our delivery areas page may incur further fees. We will tell you exactly what applies before your order is confirmed — call us on 1300 800 776 if you are not sure.
Equipment arrives fully assembled and ready to use, with the exception of home gyms, which have an installation fee.
Our driver attends on his own. Wherever it is possible and safe to do so he will place the machine in the location you want, but he may decline where access is unsafe, obstructed or requires more than one person. Please make sure there is clear access and a suitable space ready before delivery.
11. Collection and return
At the end of a hire we will collect the equipment. Collection during our standard collection hours is covered by the delivery charge paid at the start of the hire, and there is nothing further to pay; outside those hours, or outside our listed delivery areas, the same additional fees as delivery may apply.
If you have a safe, dry place for the equipment to be left, we are happy to collect it during standard collection hours without you being home. Equipment must be accessible, and must be clean — see the cleaning fee above.
12. Rent to own
Rent to own is a 12 or 24 month interest free contract arranged through humm, a third party finance company. It is a purchase, not a hire: you are paying the machine off and it becomes yours at the end of the term.
Rent to own equipment cannot be returned partway through the term, because you are buying it rather than hiring it.
The finance contract is between you and humm, and their terms, approval criteria and fees apply in addition to these terms. Indicative weekly rates shown on the site are estimates only and are subject to the financier’s approval.
13. Buying equipment
You can buy equipment outright, and you can buy at the end of a hire. If you decide to buy at the end of your first hire we will either swap the machine for a brand new one, or sell you the ex-hire unit you already have at a discounted price.
Ex-hire equipment is sold as used equipment. We will tell you its condition before you buy. Title in purchased equipment passes to you once we have received payment in full.
Purchases are also covered by the consumer guarantees described above.
14. Cancelling or changing an order
If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible on 1300 800 776. Because payment is taken on delivery rather than at the time of order, cancelling before delivery normally costs you nothing.
We may cancel an order if the equipment is no longer available, if we cannot safely deliver to the address, or if the address is outside an area we can service. If that happens we will tell you and refund anything you have paid for that order.
15. Using this website
We try to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, including prices, availability and specifications, but we do not guarantee it is always error free. Equipment models and stock change, and an item shown on the site may not be available at the time you order.
Prices shown are in Australian dollars. We may correct errors in pricing or descriptions before your order is confirmed.
The content of this site, including text, images and our logo, belongs to us or our suppliers and may not be copied or reused without permission. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
16. Privacy
We collect and use your personal information to take orders, deliver and collect equipment, provide service and support, and contact you about your hire. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. See our privacy policy for details of what we collect and how we use it.
17. Our liability
Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising out of the hire, purchase or use of equipment, and our total liability is limited as described in the consumer guarantees section above.
Exercise carries inherent risks. To the extent permitted by law, you use the equipment at your own risk and are responsible for exercising within your own capability and for seeking medical advice where appropriate.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
20. Contact us
If you have a question about these terms, or a problem with equipment you have hired or bought, contact us and we will sort it out.
